Your Inheritance by Faith: Living as a Descendant of Abraham

As I was spending time in the Word today, the Holy Spirit highlighted Genesis 17:1-8 so clearly to me — and made it known that this covenant promise to Abraham is still speaking to us, the children of God, right now.

We are the descendants of Abraham by faith. We are part of this everlasting covenant. And the same Almighty God who spoke to Abraham is still fulfilling His promises through us today.

📖 1. Receive Your Inheritance by Faith

“I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.” — Genesis 17:7

This is your inheritance. It’s not earned by your works — it’s received by your faith. God is still Almighty. There is nothing too hard for Him.

As Mark 11:22-24 reminds us:

“Have faith in God… whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Faith is the key that unlocks the door to your inheritance.

2. The Lord Activates By Our Faith

The more I walk with God, the more I see how powerfully Jesus responds to faith. Not to begging, not to bargaining, but to believing.

That’s why we have to start praying for an increase in faith — because faith aligns us with what God already has for us. Even when everything around you looks like it’s falling apart, trust that God is aligning circumstances, people, and resources to fulfill His promises in your life.

🌱 3. It Often Looks Worse Before It Gets Better

I won’t sugarcoat it — alignment can be uncomfortable. Sometimes things look darker just before breakthrough. God will often strip away what’s not aligned with your destiny so that what He has planned can flourish.

Stay the course. Don’t give up on God. Don’t doubt or limit what He can do. The same God who made Abraham a father of many nations when it looked biologically impossible is the same God writing your story.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” — Ephesians 3:20

💭 4. Dare to Dream Big — Then Go Bigger

I dare you to dream bigger than you ever have. To plan beyond your expectations. To let your prayers be audacious because your God is limitless.

Clothe yourself in Christ. Let Him lead you in this next phase of your journey. It will take work, discipline, stretching — but you will be glad you surrendered to His plan.

Final Encouragement:

I love you all so much. Stay well, keep seeking God, and trust that your answered prayers are coming sooner than you think. Hold fast to your inheritance by faith. And remember — nothing is impossible for our God.
