“But the word of God continued to increase and spread.” — Acts 12:24
🌿 Introduction: When God’s Word Speaks, Everything Changes
In Acts 12:22–24, we witness a powerful and sobering moment in Scripture. King Herod receives praise from the people as if he were a god. Instead of giving glory to the Lord, he accepts it for himself. Immediately, judgment follows — and yet, in the very next verse, we see a striking contrast:
“But the word of God continued to increase and spread.”
This passage reminds us of a timeless truth: people rise and fall, systems change, kingdoms collapse — but the Word of God remains powerful, active, and unstoppable.
No matter what is happening in the world, God’s Word continues to move, heal, restore, and fulfill His promises.
✝️ The Word of God Carries Power
The Word of God is not just ink on paper. It is living. It is breathing. It is active. Scripture tells us that God’s Word accomplishes exactly what He sends it to do (Isaiah 55:11).
When we dig deeper into our personal relationship with the Lord — not just casually reading Scripture, but meditating on it, praying it, believing it — we activate the power of God in our lives.
The early church didn’t rely on influence, politics, or status. They relied on prayer, obedience, and the Word of God — and signs and wonders followed.
That same power is still available today.
🕊️ Personal Relationship + Corporate Prayer
There is power in personal intimacy with God, and there is also power when believers gather corporately in prayer. The book of Acts shows us this over and over again.
When the people of God:
• Pray together
• Fast together
• Stand on the Word together
• Believe together
Heaven responds.
Scripture makes it clear that there are still signs and wonders the Earth has not yet seen — not because God has changed, but because many have stopped believing, praying, and expecting.
God is still the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
🌍 Praying Beyond Ourselves: Families, Nations, and Regions
Yes, we must pray for our families.
Yes, we must pray for our needs.
But Scripture also calls us to pray beyond ourselves — for nations, regions, leaders, and the Body of Christ worldwide.
God cares deeply about what is happening across the globe. Wars, injustice, suffering, revival, restoration — it all matters to Him.
When we intercede for the nations, we align our hearts with God’s heart.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
This is not a suggestion — it is a calling.
🔑 2026: A Year to Stand on the Promises of God
Let 2026 be a year where we choose to believe God again.
Not halfway. Not cautiously. But fully.
A year where we:
• Stand on His promises
• Trust His timing
• Pray without ceasing
• Refuse to grow weary
• Expect answered prayers
2026 can be a year of new beginnings, spiritual renewal, and long-awaited breakthroughs — not because of our effort, but because of God’s faithfulness.
The Word of God has not lost its power.
The promises of God have not expired.
The plans of God have not changed.
🌱 Let God Get the Glory
When breakthroughs come, let God get the glory.
When healing comes, let God get the glory.
When restoration comes, let God get the glory.
Like Herod, many in this world seek glory for themselves. But we, as Kingdom citizens, choose humility. We choose obedience. We choose to point back to the Source.
Because everything good in our lives comes from Him.
đź’– Final Encouragement
Beloved, there is power in God’s Word.
There is power in prayer.
There is power in unity.
There is power in belief.
As we move forward into 2026, let us be a people who truly believe again — who expect Heaven to move, who pray boldly, and who trust God fully.
May the Word of God continue to increase and spread — in our homes, our businesses, our communities, and across the nations.
I love you.đź’š
