“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised).” — Hebrews 10:23
💡 Introduction: Faith Doesn’t Always Feel Beautiful
Sometimes faith looks powerful and victorious.
And sometimes faith looks like surviving another day while trying not to fall apart.
If I can be transparent with you all for a moment — the last couple years of my life and my teenage daughter’s life has been incredibly heavy. There were seasons where it felt like everything was stretching us emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically, and it doesn’t seem as though the season is over with just yet.
But I won’t call it h-e-l-l.
Because even in the hardship, I can see the hand of God.
There were lessons we needed to learn. There were areas where the Lord was calling us deeper. There were things in us that had to be refined, healed, surrendered, and aligned with His Word.
And honestly? We are still walking through these challenges and obstacles right now.
✨ When the Promise Feels Delayed
One of the hardest parts of walking with God is holding onto a promise that doesn’t seem to be materializing.
You pray.
You fast.
You obey.
You believe.
And yet… nothing appears to change.
You begin wondering:
- “Did I hear God correctly?”
- “Did I miss something?”
- “Will this promise ever come to pass?”
But family, hear me with your heart:
God is not a man that He should lie. (Numbers 23:19)
If He spoke it, it still stands — even if the timeline hurts.
🌱 God Works in Seasons We Don’t Understand
Sometimes God allows us to walk through seasons that make absolutely no sense in the natural because He is building something eternal in us.
The waiting develops:
- endurance
- trust
- humility
- dependence on Him
Without realizing it, we often ask God for promises while resisting the process that prepares us for them.
But the process matters.
🕊️ Faith Means Holding On Anyway
Real faith is not pretending everything is okay.
Real faith says:
“Lord, I don’t understand this season… but I still trust You.”
Faith means:
- continuing to pray when you’re tired
- continuing to obey when you’re disappointed
- continuing to believe when you don’t see movement
This kind of faith is precious to God.
💖 God’s Peace Will Carry You
One of the greatest gifts God gives us in difficult seasons is His peace.
Not peace that comes from circumstances improving.
Not peace that comes from getting answers immediately.
But the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
A peace that says:
“I know life feels uncertain, but God is still with me.”
Family, there were moments where the only thing holding me together was the peace of God. Not because I understood everything — but because somehow, deep down, I knew He had not abandoned us.
I still believe this and will continue to honor it with my whole heart and life, as I continue to go through the challenges of life because if I’m being transparent, things have become worst at the moment and have not eased up.
🔥 Don’t Let Go of His Word
If God has given you:
- a promise
- a vision
- a command
- a calling
- a word over your life
Continue to stand on it.
Even if:
- years have passed
- people doubt you
- circumstances contradict it
- nothing seems to be happening
Stand anyway.
Abraham waited.
Joseph waited.
David waited.
Many throughout Scripture waited.
And in the waiting, God was still working.
🛠️ Practical Ways to Stay Encouraged During Hard Seasons
1. Stay in the Word Daily
Even if it’s one verse. Keep feeding your spirit.
2. Pray Honestly
You don’t have to impress God. Be real with Him.
3. Stop Measuring God by Your Timeline
Delay does not mean denial.
4. Remember What He Already Brought You Through
Reflect on past victories to strengthen present faith.
5. Protect Your Peace
Limit voices that increase fear, doubt, or confusion.
6. Keep Moving Forward
Even small progress matters.
đź‘‘ The Promise Is Still Alive
If you can relate to any part of this — keep going.
Do not let disappointment make you abandon God’s promise.
Do not let delay make you walk away from His presence.
Do not let hardship convince you that God has forgotten you.
He sees you.
He knows.
And He is still faithful.
đź’š Final Encouragement
Some seasons will test everything you thought you knew about faith. But those same seasons can also deepen your relationship with God in ways comfort never could.
So hold onto Jesus — even when it doesn’t make sense.
Hold onto His peace.
Hold onto His promises.
Hold onto His Word.
Because the same God who carried you this far will carry you the rest of the way.
I love you all đź’š
